Ensimmäiset Kansat quarterly magazine

The Ensimmäiset Kansat quarterly magazine contains articles on recent events and news concerning indigenous peoples; also, it presents the life and culture of indigenous peoples more extensively.

Researchers, editors and specialists contribute articles for the magazine. In addition to this, about half of the articles are translations of articles from larger organizations such as IWGIA, Survival International or Fjärde världen.

The magazine is published four times a year. The amount of pages varies from 32 to 40. The articles describe from many sides indigenous peoples' life, rich culture and their problems in the modern world.

By far Ensimmäiset Kansat has been published only in Finnish.

The biggest organizational contributors to Ensimmäiset Kansat are IWGIA and Survival International.
